Your Corporate Event Calendar (Part 1)

In the world of business, there is always some kind of corporate party or event happening. Whether it’s a summer party, launch of a new product or office Christmas get-together, there is always a good excuse to get dressed up.

We believe that good planning is the key to the success of any party. This is especially true when it comes to corporate events – you can never be too organised. If you’re the (un)lucky individual who has been tasked with making sure that all of these corporate parties go off smoothly, it’s more important than ever to be organised.

Here are some very important yearly events that bring about the perfect opportunity for a corporate party!

New Year’s Party (January)

We’re not talking about NYE, as most people already make plans for this night months in advance with their loved ones. We think the beginning of the New Year (in the first few weeks of January) brings about a perfect opportunity to plan an intimate corporate party. This should be a small gathering just for employees. It’s a good way for people to catch up after the Christmas break, as well as a good way to get them excited and geared up for the 12 months to come.

Valentine’s Day (14th February)

Valentine’s Day brings about the perfect excuse to organise a classy corporate ball! Guests should be encouraged to bring along their special someone for a romantic and entertaining event. It’s a good way for people to introduce their partners to the men and women that they work with, as well as a reason to get all dressed up on the most romantic day of the year! And if you’re single, it’s a good way to mix with people that you probably wouldn’t otherwise. We suggest hiring some romantic fairy lights - perfect for dressing the venue and setting the mood.

Easter Fun Day (March/April)

Easter is the time of the year in which you can organise events that are perfect for people of all ages. Do you have a lot of colleagues who have young families? Whilst they may feel excluded from some of the evening events throughout the year, Easter gives you the perfect opportunity to get them involved. A corporate event doesn’t have to mean drinking and dancing, why don’t you plan an Easter fun day out? Everyone can bring their families along! By planning lots of fun activities throughout the day and providing lots of chocolate, you’ll certainly be a favourite in the office.

Summer BBQ (August)

The longer (and brighter) days in summer offer you another opportunity to host a corporate day event – perfect for people to bring along their family! Keep your eye on the weather forecast when planning your summer bash, as you don’t want bad weather to ruin the event! Big summer corporate events often seen companies hire out stages and put on live bands, put on food stalls and other activities – like a huge festival but for the day! It can be a casual or dressy as you like – casual summer clothes are usually a hit!
